LOS ANGELES--'"Under the gun as Paramount Pictures Corporation readied a major licensing program based on its 1972 film 'The Godfather,' the Miami-based law firm KPKB negotiated a lucrative licensing agreement with Paramount and Viacom Consumer Products on behalf of the estate of the film's star, Marlon Brando.
The agreement, whose details were not disclosed, authorizes the use of the actor's voice and likeness by Paramount, with significant compensation to the estate, said a KPKB spokesman.
Brando died suddenly in 2004 of pulmonary fibrosis.
