Miami IP attorney honored for kindness and community service

MIAMI - April 14, 2003 - Michael Chesal, Member of Florida law firm Kluger, Peretz, Kaplan & Berlin P.L., was honored by Yeshiva Toras Chaim/Toras Emes Academy of Miami during the 18th Annual Scholarship Dinner held on April 6, 2003, at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Miami. Chesal was recognized as a chesed awardee, along with his wife Jana, for his kindness and outstanding community service.
Chesal currently serves as chairman of Aish HaTorah of South Florida, where he teaches a weekly ethics class, and is the president and co-founder of the Bais Medrash of South Florida. He is also a board member for Young Israel Synagogue of Hollywood and is a member of its Adult Education Committee.
As a member in Kluger, Peretz, Kaplan & Berlin's Intellectual Property Group, Chesal devotes his practice to the litigation of trademark, copyright, patent, trade secret, domain name and computer-related concerns. He serves as chairman of the Information Resource Committee, a subcommittee of the International Trademark Association, and is a member of the Florida Bar's Intellectual Property Law Committee. Chesal graduated from the University of Florida with honors, majoring in computer and information sciences, and earned his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.
