“I strive to practice law at the highest possible level, which is what our clients are looking for - smart, organized, responsive, ethical representation.”
-- Dee Dee Fischer, Litigation & Alternative Dispute Resolution
**
Dee Dee concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation and appeals. Dee Dee has handled a broad range of business torts and contract litigation, including partnership and shareholder disputes, construction and real estate litigation, healthcare disputes, intellectual property, unfair competition, mass torts, insurance litigation, and defamation litigation.
“I love the many facets of law -- philosophical, intellectual and practical. The issues I deal with not only have crucial implications for my clients' businesses, but are also personally challenging and intellectually stimulating. There aren't many careers about which that can be said.”
Prior to becoming an attorney, Dee Dee served in the United States Army as an intelligence analyst and an Arabic linguist. She was awarded an ROTC scholarship to Georgetown University where she earned her degree in International Economics from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service.
Dee Dee earned her juris doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law, where she was the Editor-in-Chief of the University of Miami Law Review.
From Dee Dee’s Case Files
Strengthening Relationships: When a major Florida developer needed representation in a series of baseless personal injury and warranty claims filed against them, I was brought in to assist, and was ultimately called upon to act as liason with in-house counsel for all of the client’s cases with us. The client was reassured knowing that we had one person overseeing the day-to-day operations of their case load and that we had all the angles covered.
The Value of Pro Bono Work - Helping a Child in Need: When a young autistic boy, determined by the State of Florida to be in crisis, was nevertheless denied the disability services he so desperately needed, I successfully appealed the Administrative Hearing Officer’s actions to the Fifth District Court of Appeals. The appellate court overruled in part, ordering that our client be given priority “crisis” consideration, on a month to month basis, for available funds. Our client was granted the right to disability services the first month he was given priority consideration.
