“I’m passionate about prevailing in my clients’ cases.  I combine that passion and hard work with my background in accounting and finance to provide a winning formula in financial fraud and complex commercial cases.”

--Bruce Katzen, Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution

**

Bruce relies upon his legal training and experience and his background in public accounting to represent clients in highly technical, financial business disputes and litigation. His focus is on corporate matters, securities, accountants' liability, stockbroker liability and financial fraud.

“I represent investors and individuals injured by financial fraud, and get great personal satisfaction when I’m able to help my clients recover their losses.  Each day gives me an opportunity to meet new people and to learn about different businesses and interesting legal issues.  There’s no repetition in my practice—each case is unique—and for me the novelty keeps life very interesting.”

Bruce also combines this same skill set, law and accounting, when working with families when they become embroiled in will contests and other issues of fraud related to the probate process. He is particularly experienced in representing the beneficiary in contested life insurance claims.

From Bruce’s Case Files

A Clear Picture of Fraud:  I represented the liquidating Trustee in the bankruptcy of the photographic film and disposable camera company PSI Industries.  In a four-day bench-trial, I successfully argued that PSI executives had fraudulently looted the company of $4.7 million, for which they were held liable.

Successfully Limiting Liability:  I fought back claims of securities fraud by disgruntled shareholders of a roll-up finance corporation, crafting a settlement for my client, the insurer, in a class-action suit that paid less than one tenth of the company’s $100 million officer liability coverage.
