“The amount of business conducted over the internet continues to grow exponentially. I enjoy helping my clients understand how they can protect their ideas, products, and services in this new age of commerce.”
-- Paul L. Kobak, Intellectual Property Law
Paul concentrates his practice in the area of intellectual property law. He handles a wide array of IP issues, ranging from client counseling to litigating complex IP matters. He has significant experience representing his clients in court and in arbitration proceedings.
“Often I can benefit my client by efficiently resolving its intellectual property disputes outside the courtroom; however, when court intervention is unavoidable, my background in commercial litigation allows me to work with my client to develop a strategy that maximizes the strengths of its position while remaining economically feasible.”
From Paul’s Case Files:
Winning a motion for summary judgment. We were defending a major Miami hospital in federal district court against a multi-million-dollar trade slander claim. After thoroughly investigating the claim, I obtained affidavits from the witnesses demonstrating that our client did not make any of the alleged slanderous statements. My motion for summary judgment on the claim was granted, which allowed the hospital to concentrate on doing what it does best – helping people get better.
