Jon is focused on helping real estate-related transactions get done and real estate disputes get resolved. A detail oriented experienced problem solver, Jon's acumen for creative resolutions benefits his clients. Jon typically represents lenders, sellers, purchasers, developers, and landlords and tenants in commercial real estate transactions, contracts, loan documentation, and leases.
Individuals and entities benefit from Jon’s experience in acquisition, development, operation and sale of office buildings, warehouses, shopping centers and industrial property.
Jon also represents lenders in the documentation of loans secured by real estate and he has handled a number of cases involving the disposition of real property assets obtained through the foreclosure process. Lenders involved in complex foreclosure efforts (including defense of lender liability counterclaims) that end up in dispute, use Jon’s real estate litigation experience to help them throughout the negotiations or other legal proceedings.
Cases involving landlords and tenants concerning the enforcement of leases, buyers and sellers in litigation over contract disputes, and the prosecution and defense of title claims all fall within the scope of Jon's experience.
Rounding out his real estate law practice, Jon represents property owners in actions to contest real property assessments for ad valorem tax purposes and in eminent domain actions.
