Jason can be most often found involved in legal issues surrounding contract, employment, trade secret, non-competition, and shareholder disputes for the firm's private equity and venture capital clients. His practice has evolved to include a particular concentration on actions involving fraudulent transfer, piercing the corporate veil and mergers and acquisitions litigation.
"I provide valuable legal advice that often translates into sound strategic decisions on how my clients acquire, sell, and run their businesses'; I enjoy helping them maximize their profitability and potential."
Jason's interest in sports runs deep and he devotes a portion of his practice to helping individuals and businesses in the sports and entertainment industry solve their contractual disputes. His experience includes work with the National Football League on player arbitrations and negotiation and interpretation of players' and coaches' contracts.
Off the clock, Jason coaches lacrosse, baseball, roller hockey, and basketball for youth leagues in the Weston neighborhood of Broward County, Florida.
From Jason's Case Files
Case Disposed at Little Cost: When a disgruntled shareholder attempted to file a substantial derivative suit against a technology company, we successfully utilized a rarely used provision of the Florida Corporations Act to appoint an independent litigation committee to dispose of the case at very little cost to the client.
Pointing Out Contradictions: When our client, a retail marketing conglomerate, was wrongfully accused of misappropriating its underlying business plan, we successfully obtained a summary judgment on six fraud counts using the plaintiff's own contradictory testimony against him.
